Your safety while at Pirbright Clay Shooting Club

Hearing protection and safety glasses are recommended whilst shooting.

Are non-members allowed to shoot at the ground ?

Yes, non-members are more than welcome to shoot at our ground, although membership gives you discounted shooting.

Is there a minimum age requirement to shoot?

We recommend a minimum age of 12 years old. It really depends on their build. If you have a concern, please email us for more information. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult whislt on our ground.

Do I need to own my own gun to come shoot at Pirbright Clay Shooting Club?

Yes, unless you have a session with an approved instructor.

Are non-license holders allowed to shoot on our ranges?

We hold a Section 11(6) exemption, allowing non license holders to shoot on our ground, this is subject to being supervised by a competent person, and demonstrating to us you are safe to shoot.

How far in advance do I need to book?

There is no requirement to book, our ground is open every Wednesday and Sunday 09:00 – 12:00

Wait at the meeting point to be escorted into the ground

Can I bring my dog along with me to shoot?

Yes, providing your dog remains on a lead at all times and isn't frightened by the noise of guns.

How do I access the Pirbright Clay Shooting Club ?

Because we are inside a military establishment, we are subject to MOD security regulations. As we are a resident we are allowed to escort our members and any guests without any additional vetting.
